12 Days of Christmas: Day 9

Welcome back for Day 9! Only 3 more days left until we've completed all 12 squares! Yesterdays hint was a little odd, but were you able to guess it?

It's a candy cane!

You have no idea how pleased I am with this one, I wasn't sure I'd be able to get the stripes right simply due to the nature of crochet stitches. I think it turned out great though and honestly, the color changes weren't as bad as I thought they'd be, though there were a lot.

Graph/Pattern:

Lots of color changes as I said, at least in the red and white part. My advice here is to be careful and make sure you're on the correct row. I know I messed that up a few times and got a little confused. But keep track of rows and also if you're on the right or wrong side of your work and you should be just fine. Worked up quickly at least!
