Crochet Catch-up

Wellllll, its definitely been a while since I've done one of these 😅😅
My last one was way back in August of 2023! That's 6 months of crochet to catch up on 😶
To be honest, I completely forgot about Crochet Catch-Up. Here's to a better 2024?
I wasn't too sure if I was going to do a catch up on all 6 months, but, I decided why not. Here's everything (I think lol) I've made since September of 2023.
2023 (September-December):

Twisted Daffodil by TwistedHatter
Love, love, love this hat and wish I had more places to wear it. I was hoping to wear this to a renaissance fair in the fall, but unfortunately it rained so many of the weekends :(
I did at least get to wear it on halloween!
A lot less complicated than I thought this pattern would be. The stem was really neat to see twist and turn as I made it too.

Flowers/Vines by me (freehand)
Some of these vines were pre-made for room decor a few years ago (I'm sure theres a post on my Instagram somewhere about them). I made so so many more though, this picture does not properly show just how many I made, and there are even MORE not pictured. These were also going to be for the renaissance fair, but were used for halloween instead, and will soon be transferred back into room decor!
Super easy to make and soooo cute!! Perfect for those cottagecore/whimsical aesthetics.

Corset by Alem knit and crochet
Parts of this corset were reworked and freehanded from the original pattern. Another costume piece, very happy with how it turned out. The velvet yarn keeps it nice and warm too, and I think the yarn its double stranded with gives it a unique more 'rustic' look.
Much easier than I thought it'd be to make too!

X-Mas Bunnies by CosyCrochetbyTasha
What a cutie!!! I had to shorten the ears, as I was running out of yarn (he takes more than you realize!). Next Christmas I think I'll try and make the others. Not much more to say about him, sold him at a craft fair fairly quickly though!
Cute pattern, love the floppy ears, just make sure you have enough yarn!!

Sheep by CraftinginGlory
Words cannot express how happy this made me while I was making it. I don't think I've ever used stitching like this for texture (or at all). I almost kept him for myself, there's just something about this that I love so much, the texture, the shape, the face!!
If you've never used stitches like this before, it did take a little getting used to but I got into the groove of it after some rows.

Cow by CraftinginGlory
Didn't have a picture of just my cows, but I have this from a craft fair setup (also pictured is the sheep previously shown and my jellfish pattern). The color combinations with these cows are endless, theres so many cows you can make. Pictured here are a jumbo black and white cow, mooshroom, christmas and mint chocolate chip cow!
Easy to make, very fun choosing the color combos. A pattern I've had for a long time now, and probably one of my favorites.

Puppy Present by CraftinginGlory
I'll admit, I was very hesitant to buy this pattern thinking it would be too complex. It took a little trial and error at some points, but overall, wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be to make.
Once the holidays roll around I think I'm gunna try making this one again.

Bees by me (freehand)
Another pattern with endless color combos, christmas/holidays, rainbow, and normal bees (I think there's an ace pride bee in the back too). Works up quick and they're always a hit at shows.

Tapestry Squares/Pillow by me
Oh boy these squares. This was another crochet-a-long I did, the 12 days of Christmas where I crocheted a square everyday for 12 days. This really tested my dedication, design and color selection but overall I'm so happy with these. Turned into a very cute pillow and a great Christmas present.
I hope to make these squares into a full pattern available one day and not just the graphs as they are now.
2024:

Cat Sweater by AlaskaCrochetCo
A sweater I made for my boyfriends sister for her birthday. Very happy with how this sweater turned out, and I was able to work it up much quicker than I thought I'd be able to. My blue color selection was slim but I think it came out very nice working with what I had.
Straight-forward, easy to make sweater (if you're okay with color-changes)

Snail by CraftyIntentions
Another project that arose out of boredom and wanting to make something for me. I ran out of yellow yarn though and had to make part of his shell grey :( gives it a cool blended effect though even if I would've preferred all yellow.
Definitely an intermediate pattern as it uses some techniques like short-rows, and the sewing you need to be very careful with. Pushed me out of my comfort zone a bit, but I think that's a good thing and I enjoyed making him so much.

Screaming Opossum by ComplicatedKnots
So silly, so goofy, he's great. I want an army of screaming opossums.
Some new techniques on this guy too, especially with the teeth. Not too difficult but it took some attention to make sure I was doing it correctly.

Edie the Elephant by CosyCrochetbyTasha
Wanted to try out this pattern finally, and while I like the pattern, I don't like my yarn choice. The yarn was a little stiff and I'm not entirely happy with the way he came out, not sure why? That being said, I do love the color and size and the ears are great.
Have to retry this pattern with a different yarn, something softer/more flexible.
With that being said, we are all caught up on my makes from last fall, all the way through to February 2024! Ill catchup with you all sometime soon im sure, happy making, and let me know if you've ever made one of these patterns before too! Or if you plan to!
For those of you who don't know I just created a Ribblr account and I'm in the process of moving patterns from my website to there. Be sure to check it out and keep an eye out for them as I post!
