Hi all! Welcome to month 2 of my crochet recap where I go over all of my (finished) makes from the previous month. August didn't see a whole lot of new makes overall, started some new WIPs, and in all, only finished a handful of projects. Life's been busy, but (hopefully) it seems to be settling down.
Crochet Makes and Patterns:
Owlbear by @ComplicatedKnots (video pattern)

I actually completed this pattern on the last day of the month! I made this to match the owlbear you can change into in the game Baldur's Gate 3. This is also the pattern that made me realize if I'm going to invest in safety eyes, I need to buy good ones as these had cracks in the eyes and were an absolute pain to attach. So if you have any recommendations I'd love to hear about them! Overall, very cute pattern and I adore the fluff on the front/owl portion of him.
No-Sew Fish by @Chaicoffeecrochet (written pattern)

Sometimes you just need to take a minute and make a little something. Used some scrap yarn I had to make him. Nothing more to him, just a little fish I made one night so I could say I finished something. Simple, quick to make and I loved that I didn't have to do any sewing.
Turtle (slightly modified) by @LoopsandLoveCrochet (written pattern)

Originally I had planned on using the african flower as part of a top I was making. However, as I progressed more and more on the top I decided against it and while looking up what to do with it, I found this pattern! I love making turtles from time to time as they're my favorite animal, and its always so neat to find new ones to make. Love the shell on this guy, so I'll be making more in the future for sure.
Togepi by @Loopycathrine (written pattern)

I have a friend who has been asking me to make a Togepi for her for so long, and I finally made one. He turned out to be such a cutie! Believe it or not, I think the crown pieces on his head were harder to make and sew than the felt pieces were. I had a bit of a hard time placing the crown in a circle, but, I managed to get in the end. I really like how it all turned out though, the felt, the crown, face, etc. Now what pokemon to make next...?
Well, that wraps up my finished projects from August. Like I said, I started others and never finished them, so they might appear in Septembers recap. Let me know what projects you all worked on and finished (or didn't) last month and if there's any you'd recommend, I'd love to know.
Don't forget this month I also have a Kirby CAL going on! Every week on Friday I'll be posting another portion of the pattern. If you'd like to check it out, I'll link it here for anyone interested. I just posted Week 2 which includes how to create the body, two more weeks left so plenty of time to join in. If you'd like to keep up to date on it and be notified when a new portion is released, consider subscribing to my newsletter so you don't miss out! I'll also make an instagram announcement when a new portion is released. Happy crocheting all.
